Overview

N-Acetyl Semax Amidate (NASA) is a modified form of Semax with an acetyl group on the N-terminus and an amide on the C-terminus. These modifications improve stability and potentially enhance potency and duration compared to standard Semax.

Mechanism of Action

Same as Semax (BDNF upregulation, NGF enhancement, dopamine/serotonin modulation) but with improved resistance to enzymatic degradation due to terminal modifications. May have enhanced CNS penetration.
