Melanotan II
Also known as: MT-2, MT2
A melanocortin peptide for tanning and sexual function enhancement.
Overview
Melanotan II is a synthetic analog of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone that causes skin tanning and has sexual arousal effects. PT-141 was developed from this peptide.
Mechanism of Action
Non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist. MC1R activation causes tanning. MC3R/MC4R activation in brain affects sexual function and appetite.
Pharmacokinetics
Half-life 30-60 minutes. Tanning effects cumulative over days. Sexual effects acute.
Dosing Protocols
Note: These are research protocols from literature. This is not medical advice.
