Hexarelin
Also known as: Examorelin, HEX
One of the strongest GH secretagogues with cardioprotective properties.
Overview
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide and one of the most potent GH secretagogues known. Beyond GH release, it has notable cardioprotective effects independent of GH.
Mechanism of Action
Potent ghrelin receptor agonist causing robust GH release. Also binds cardiac receptors (CD36) providing direct cardioprotective effects independent of GH pathway.
Pharmacokinetics
Peak GH release at 20-30 minutes. Half-life approximately 70 minutes. Effects diminish with repeated use due to desensitization.
Dosing Protocols
Note: These are research protocols from literature. This is not medical advice.
Standard
100-200 mcg
1-2x daily
4-8 weeks on, 4 weeks off
Cycling required to prevent desensitization
Stacking Recommendations
Peptides that may be combined based on complementary mechanisms in research settings.
Research Areas
Key Research Findings
- 1Among the strongest GH release of all secretagogues
- 2Direct cardioprotective effects via non-GH mechanisms
- 3Improved cardiac function in heart failure studies
- 4May cause desensitization requiring cycling
Side Effects & Contraindications
Reported Side Effects
- Elevated cortisol
- Elevated prolactin
- Flushing
- Hunger
Contraindications
- Elevated prolactin
- Active malignancy
Safety Considerations
Significantly elevates cortisol and prolactin. Desensitization occurs with continuous use. Requires cycling.
Storage Requirements
Store lyophilized at -20C
